Things I Find While Walking My Dog, Part 3
Unique, interesting, and wacky things you find in our neighbourhood streets
August 25, 2024 - Today's "Things I Find While Walking My Dog" is actually from a while ago. Came across an interesting collection of wrapping paper, pumpkin puree, and neon waffles. My guess is that someone realized on their way home from work that they forgot their anniversary. They went into a neighbourhood convenience store and panic-grabbed a few things, blindly hoping to manifest a decent gift that would give the illusion of forethought. They obviously realized the fruitlessness of their efforts and gave up. I can only surmise that they kept driving past their home to the airport, and have started a new life somewhere under an assumed name.
August 29, 2024 - This morning I had a definite contender for "Things I Find While Walking My Dog." I had just been thinking how exhausted I was, and the universe heard my lament! I think this is a cautionary tale about being careful what you wish for. Instead of curling up on it, I left the STI/bed bug sanctuary to its own devices and headed home to start my work day.
September 1, 2024 - It seems to be spontaneous furniture season in the hood! First, the mattress of dubious origin, and now this stunning entry in "Things I Find While Walking My Dog." When a disgruntled employee at La-Z-Boy switches the reclining mechanism on your sofa with that of a fighter pilot ejection seat, tragedy will follow. I wonder what the damage to their living room wall looks like 🤔
September 7, 2024 - On today's "Things I Find While Walking My Dog," I offer you a far more compelling mystery than 3 Body Problem on Netflix. I present to you the 3 Running Shoe Problem. Why are there three? The underwear and pair of pants also add a level of “WTF” but, in my opinion, the standout character here is the highlighter.
October 27, 2024 - On today's "Things I Find While Walking My Dog", it looks like the graffiti still life art classes are going well. See?! This is why you fund the arts!
Always cute and clever.
Love these so much!
